💳 ATM swallowed your card, or a suspicious transaction hit your account
⚡ Do this right now
- Call your bank's card-blocking hotline immediately — this matters more than retrieving the card itself.
- Don't leave the ATM booth until you've noted the branch name/location for your bank report.
📋 Step by step
- Call the number printed on the ATM booth or your bank's official hotline to report the swallowed card or suspicious transaction.
- Ask the bank to block the card immediately, even if you plan to retrieve it later.
- Visit the linked branch in person with your NID to either retrieve the card or request a replacement.
- For a suspicious transaction, ask the bank to flag it formally and check if you're covered by any fraud protection.
- Change your related PINs and online banking password once you're able to.
🚫 Do not
- Don't try to force the card out of the machine or hit it — this can damage both the card and the machine.
- Don't share your PIN or OTP with anyone claiming to be 'from the bank' over the phone — banks don't ask for this.
- Don't delay blocking the card, even if you think you'll get it back quickly.
🎒 What you'll need
- Your bank's official hotline number, saved somewhere other than your phone's card-linked apps
- Your NID for in-branch verification
